As Britain and Europe woke to new Brexit reality, the first trucks hauling goods across the new customs border presented their clearance documents to French agents before loading on to a train to pass through the Eurotunnel.
The new formalities came into force at midnight on Thursday for haulage traffic traveling in both directions.
KJIT was contacted directly by Eurotunnel with an offer to be the 1st truck to cross the border at NY eve. Our driver Toma Moise has successfully executed this honourable mission.
