Electric Trucks in Our Fleet

Electric Trucks in Our Fleet

We have taken an important step by adding our first electric trucks to our fleet, and we look forward to testing their performance in real operations.

In the past, we deliberately approached electric heavy-duty vehicles with caution. For a business profile like ours — where vehicles are often expected to operate close to 24/7 — earlier generations of electric trucks presented clear limitations, particularly in terms of range, charging time, infrastructure availability, and operational flexibility.

As technology continues to develop, these limitations are gradually being reduced. Advances in battery efficiency, vehicle reliability, and charging solutions now allow electric trucks, including 40-tonne vehicles, to be used effectively on selected routes and traffic flows. With careful planning — taking into account route length, payload, weather conditions, charging locations, and scheduling — it is increasingly possible to integrate electric trucks into daily operations.

While electric transport is not yet a universal solution for all use cases, we see meaningful potential where operations are well planned and predictable. These first vehicles will allow us to gain practical experience and better understand how electric trucks can complement our fleet as technology and infrastructure continue to evolve.
